Apprehended bias
#3
Hello everyone,

I find myself in an incredibly frustrating and painful situation that I believe many of you can relate to. A while back, our family reporter suggested that my 21-year-old son should try playing at an online casino just for fun. Unfortunately, this seemingly innocent advice has led to a devastating gambling addiction, and what's even more disheartening is the reporter's refusal to admit any responsibility.

When my son initially followed their advice and started playing for "fun," it quickly escalated into a full-blown addiction. He began losing significant amounts of money and soon found himself trapped in the vicious cycle of gambling. I tried to address the issue with the reporter, explaining the consequences of their advice, but they refused to take any responsibility.

It's incredibly disheartening to see my son struggle with this addiction, and I'm frustrated that the person who played a role in this situation refuses to acknowledge their part. I'm reaching out to this forum for advice on how to handle this complex situation, both in terms of my son's addiction and the strained relationship with the family reporter. Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
