I'm in a really tough spot right now, and I don't know where else to turn. My 21-year-old child has become increasingly alienated from me, and to make matters worse, they've developed a serious gambling addiction. It's heartbreaking to witness their life spiraling out of control, and I'm at a loss for what to do.
Our once-close relationship has deteriorated, and they've become distant and secretive. They used to confide in me, but now they avoid conversations and family gatherings altogether. It's like I don't even know them anymore, and it's tearing me apart.
